THOSE BIRDS REALLY KNOW HOW TO FLY.

Washington Lottery's popular TV commercial 'Birds' has been honored with a regional Gold ADDY Award for 'Best in Show' for broadcast.

The ADDY Awards represent the best in creative excellence in all forms of advertising as judged by members of the American Advertising Federation. The ad, depicting hang-gliders who help a group of flightless birds learn how to fly received hundreds of e-mails, phone calls and letters of compliment from the public. Now, the industry agrees. 'Birds' received the award amid more than 400 entries received for broadcast, and now advances to the district ADDY competition among WA, OR, ID, MT and AK. If 'Birds wins a gold ADDY in the district competition, the spots advances to the national competition. National winners will be announced at the gala advertising industry awards in June in Washington, DC. Wish us luck!
